Felipe’s autumn special is in!
Our latest burrito was inspired by a recipe from the Benito’s Hat cook book, Real Mexican Food. Felipe has made some changes and used some pretty special, seasonal ingredients. Sweet potato is marinated with Achiote and Guajillo chilli before being roasted and then slow cooked with seasonal Swiss chard and Mushrooms, creating a perfect hearty burrito.
The Super Sweet Potato Burrito comes served up in our 12″ inch flour tortillas, packed with lime & coriander rice and black beans. Wrapping happens after a handful of Monterey Jack Cheese is thrown in, followed with a dollop of sour cream, a squirt of smokey salsa brava and a sprinkle of our chilli roasted pumpkin seeds, for a little extra kick.
What’s more and to make this burrito really super, we’ve teamed up with the brilliant folks at Action Against Hunger, for this year’s Love Food, Give Food campaign. We believe in a world without child hunger and that’s why for every Super Sweet Potato Burrito we sell, we will donate 50p to /@ACF_UK #lovefoodgivefood

Our latest opening takes us back to the streets! If your seeking a burrito in the city, visit our new Liverpool Street kiosk, located just outside of the main station on Bishopsgate.
Every morning from 7.30am, will be serving up awesome Breakfast Tacos and Freshly Brewed Coffee.
From 11am until late will be serving up our menu of signature Burritos, Tacos & Naked’s along with a range of fresh juices, agua frescas and homemade tortilla chips
The wait’s over. Felipe’s latest special has arrived and here’s the deal, we’re wrapping just twenty a day in each restaurant. To avoid disappointment don’t wait around to try. Our latest burrito weighs in at 1/2 kilo and is stuffed to the brim with Free Range British Lamb, Shredded Slaw, Pico de Gallo, Monterey Jack cheese, Black Beans with Avocado Leaves. All this is topped with our latest Avocado & Tomatillo salsa which is made fresh daily in all of our restaurants.
The Lamb Barbacoa is available in our locations except Liverpool St and Selfridges until late July.

Benito Juárez was a Mexican politician and statesman of the late 19th century. It is after this amazing man, and the legend of his penchant for bizarre hats, that Ben and Felipe named their restaurant.
A truly modern leader and champion of the people Benito did thing’s his way, embodying the same Espiritu Libre (free spirit) that Sol champion today. March 21st is Benito’s birthday and at Benito’s Hat we celebrate important days. So from Saturday 21st of March until Sunday 22nd will give you a free Sol when you buy any Burrito or Torta.
We’re delighted to announce our first ever Taqueria has opened in the food hall of Selfridges as part of a whole of host of celebrations to mark the ‘Year of Mexico’ in the UK.
So if you’re seeking an authentic Mexican street food experience, head over to the taqueria and try a selection of our hand-pressed corn tacos, filled with a choice of succulent achiote chicken or pulled pork and finished with a selection of zingy guest salsas. Feeling extra hungry?. Satisfy your cravings with the Torta, a hearty brioche Mexican-style sandwich, stuffed full with slow cooked balsamic pork and sautéed lime red onions.
As well as the food, we’ve specially selected a 100% blue agave tequila, which is so pure we’re told it’s for sipping not shooting. Lighter alternatives include a range of ice cold Mexican beers and refreshing sodas.
Benito’s Hat at Home
And there’s more good news!. For the first time ever, you can buy two of our much loved ingredients. Meaning, that if you fancy recreating Benito’s at home, you can get your hands on the famous Margarita Salt and Avocado Leaf powder which has been become an integral part of our cuisine. If you haven’t already heard, the salt comes all the way from Felipe’s mothers salt mine in San Antonio Texcala, Puebla and has been mined by hand in the family for over thirty years. Whilst the avocado leaf powder, used to flavour black beans at Benito’s, is made from the leaves of avocadoes grown and farmed in Felipe’s home town.
